Built lean and exceptionally clean for climbing, mountaineering and dry weather skiing, Patagonia's Lightweight R4 Jacket gives you superb windproof protection without trapping your mobility inside a bunch of constraining fleece. The design sandwiches warm Polartec Windblock fleece with a windproof laminate and dabs you dry with a lightweight and highly breathable R1 Polartec Power Dry lining. In key spots beneath the sleeves the R1 fabric doesn't feature a laminate to allow vapor and moisture to escape quickly before it can condense on the inside of the Lightweight R4 Jacket. If you're hiking, climbing or camping in cold and dry conditions, this jacket keeps you comfortable without a lot of extra layers, but keep a waterproof shell handy for any anticipated accumulations of rain and snow.
