Handeckfallbrücke, Gelmerbahn, Gelmersee - Schweiz 9.3 km away. Although the path from the Gelmerbahn parking bypasses the Handeckfall waterfall, it is worth descending a few steps from the valley station of the funicular, to reach Handeckfallbrücke. A 70-meter long suspension bridge that hangs 70 meters above the gorge, offering a spectacular view of the waterfall.
Gelmerbahn - Guttannen, Schweiz 9.7 km away. The Gelmerbahn in Switzerland is the steepest open funicular in Europe. It transports tourists from an altitude of 1412 meters to over 1860 meters above sea level, as well as to the Gelmer lake located at 1849 meters.

For me, this climbing route presented the greatest challenge so far (2015).

Rosina via ferrata Silberkar Gorge, Ramsau am Dachstein 414 km away. The Rosina via ferrata is the most difficult via ferrata in the Silberkar Gorge (Silberkarklamm), has a D difficulty rating, and it is a vertical masterpiece. After a short suspension bridge above the stream, it leads up the rock wall next to the gorge waterfall, all the way vertically.
Siega via ferrata Silberkar Gorge, Ramsau am Dachstein 413.8 km away. The Siega via ferrata, categorized as a C/D level of difficulty, is perhaps the least interesting of the three via ferrata routes in the Silberkar Gorge (Silberkarklamm). This doesn't mean that it's not good, just that the other two are even better.
Sky Walk, Suspension Bridge, Stairway to Nothingness Styria, Dachstein 407.9 km away. The Dachstein cable car (Gletscherbahn Panorama Gondel, Panorama Cable Car) took me up to a height of 2700 meters, to the highest mountain in Styria (Steiermark), the Dachstein. Next to the upper station of the cable car there are several tourist attractions.

Silberkar Gorge Ramsau am Dachstein 414.1 km away. One of the most beautiful hiking spots in the area of Ramsau am Dachstein, is the Silberkarklamm (Silberkar Gorge). It is possible to drive to the entrance of the gorge, there is parking available on the side of the road, and you have to pay an entrance fee.
Via ferrata Adventure Climb Varmost Forni di Sopra, Cima Clap Varmost, Alpi Carniche 322.9 km away. I participated in a joint, Szekler-Italian 'military exercise' :-) on the Adventure Climb Varmost via ferrata. The iron climbing route is located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, in the Carnic Alps, and it leads up to the summit of Clap Varmost above Forni di Sopra.
Five Fingers, World NATURE Heritage Lookout, World Heritage Spiral, Dachstein Shark 414 km away. The second station of the cable car departing from Obertraun is the Krippenstein peak (2100 m). Here you can find the famous Five Fingers (5fingers) lookout, which offers a unique view of Hallstatt and Obertraun below, as well as the Hallstättersee lake.
Hias via ferrata Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 414.1 km away. The Hias via ferrata in the Silberkar Gorge (Silberkarklamm) is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.
Schulter Anstieg klettersteig Hoher Dachstein 407 km away. Two routes lead to the top of the Hoher Dachstein. The Randkluft is shorter, but can only be reached through a glacier with cracks.
The Gorge of the Méouge Ribiers, Upper Alps 334.9 km away. Following today's climb, I experienced the soothing pleasure of immersing myself in the turquoise waters of the Méouge creek, in the pond beneath a waterfall. If you find yourself in Sisteron or Grenoble, do not miss the opportunity to explore the magnificent Méouge valley near Ribiers.
