Pricopanului ridge - Macin Mountains (61 photos)
Pricopanului ridge is the secondary, but imposing ridge of Macin Mountains, characterized by huge granite formations, lofty rocks and wide sceneries all around. The landscape, as well as the relief is of mountain type, and even if the height of the ridge is apparently small, the ascending effort is slighty sustained.

Giant fir trees - Ghimes
One of the lesser-known attractions of Ghimes is the two giant-sized common fir trees. They are 42 meters tall, and have diameters of 110 cm and 130 cm at chest height.
With snowshoes in the Tihu creek valley - Rastolita
We met geotrekking treasure hunters from Gheorgheni, Miercurea Ciuc and Targu Mures in Rastolita. We entered the Calimani Mountains with an off-road vehicle, along the Rastolita and Tihu streams.
Amazing Bridges - Zabardo
The Amazing Bridges (Chudni Mostove, Wonderful Bridges) are natural stone bridges. They are located in the Rhodope Mountains, in the Smolyan Province of Bulgaria, within the valley of the Erkyupriya River, at an altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level.
Five Fingers, World NATURE Heritage Lookout, World Heritage Spiral, Dachstein Shark
The second station of the cable car departing from Obertraun is the Krippenstein peak (2100 m). Here you can find the famous Five Fingers (5fingers) lookout, which offers a unique view of Hallstatt and Obertraun below, as well as the Hallstättersee lake.

Blasted Rock hanging path - Cerna Valley
The Blasted Rock (Piatra Puscata) hanging path is located on the geographical right bank of the Cerna River, near the confluence of the Iuta stream, approximately 20 km from Baile Herculane. In this area, the presence of limestone formations has caused the valley to become narrower.
Suchurum waterfall - Karlovo
The 15-meter-high Suchurum Waterfall is located at the foot of the Stara Planina mountain range, 1 km north of the town of Karlovo in Bulgaria. It is situated below the Karlovo hydroelectric power plant, on the waters of the Stara Reka stream.
TV-radio amplifying station - Harghita Ciceu
The hiking trail marked with a blue stripe starts at the Uz Bence shelter and runs from Harghita-Bai to Harghita Madaras. Our destination today is the Harghita Ciceu plateau.
Leopoldsteiner lake - Eisenerz, Steiermark
Leopoldsteiner See is located in Styria, 4 km northwest of the town of Eisenerz. It lies at an elevation of 628 meters above sea level in the western part of the Hochschwab mountain range, at the foot of the Seemauer cliff.
Silberkar Gorge - Ramsau am Dachstein
One of the most beautiful hiking spots in the area of Ramsau am Dachstein, is the Silberkarklamm (Silberkar Gorge). It is possible to drive to the entrance of the gorge, there is parking available on the side of the road, and you have to pay an entrance fee.
Babsko Praskalo waterfall - Tazha
In the Central Balkans National Park, there are many rivers that cascade down spectacular waterfalls, which the locals call praskalo. One of the smallest waterfalls in the area is Babsko Praskalo, which stands at only 54 meters high.
Stone Forest - Slanchevo
The Stone Forest (Stones stuck in the ground, Pobiti Kamani) of Bulgaria is located 18 km west of Varna, at the foothills of the Eastern Balkan Mountains. Its Bulgarian name, Pobiti Kamani, translates to planted stones, and it is referred to in English as the Stone Desert or Stone Forest.
Doabra Stones - Brezoi, Lotru Mountains
The DN7A road branches off west from the Olt Valley, from the main road between Sibiu and Ramnicu Valcea, leading towards Voineasa and Lake Vidra. The first settlement is a small town, Brezoi, which is located at the confluence of the Lotru and Olt rivers.
