The Pharaoh and The Sphinx rock formations - Veleka Beach, Sinemorets (12 photos)
The Veleka beach is located northwest of the village of Sinemorets, at the mouth of the Veleka River, which it bypasses from the west. At the southeastern end of the seaside beach, there is a cliff, which, when viewed from the west, resembles a human head profile, and from the east, resembles a pharaoh's mummy.

Blasted Rock (Piatra Puscata) hanging path - Cerna Valley
The Blasted Rock hanging path is located on the geographical right bank of the Cerna River, near the confluence of the Iuta stream, approximately 20 km from Baile Herculane. In this area, the presence of limestone formations has caused the valley to become narrower.
Roman Baths (Baile Romane) - Cetea, Trascau Mountains
Among the valleys of the Trascau Mountains, the Cetea Gorge best deserves the name of a crevice valley. Here, the waters of the Cetea Stream cut through the Mariuta limestone cliff, flowing through a narrow crevice that is only about 1-2 meters wide.
Varghis gorges in winter
I went out to admire the ice stalagmites (standing icicles) in the Varghis Gorge. Anyone arriving here at the end of winter can observe meter-high ice stalagmites in the entrance area of Meresti Cave (now known as Orban Balazs Cave).
The palm of God and the Heaven's door - Fundatura Ponorului mountain village
One of the most picturesque places in Romania, one of the most beautiful mountain villages, and a photographer's paradise. Fundatura Ponorului is located in the Ponor Stream Valley, part of the Gradistea Muncelului - Cioclovina National Park, in the Sureanu Mountains.
