Waterfalls of Lapos creek - Bicaz Gorges
One of the lesser-known attractions of the Bicaz Gorges is the series of waterfalls along Lapos Creek. This creek flows between Cupas Stone and Bardos Stone before eventually merging with Bicaz Creek, forming spectacular waterfalls beneath the Altar Stone.

Banita Gorges and Banita rock bridge
They say about this place that only very few people know about it, but that's not true. In fact, most nature lovers have heard of it, seen pictures taken here, even if not everyone has been able to come here.

Poienii Rock, north-eastern lookout point - Bicaz Gorges
From the viewpoint at the top of the northeastern wall of Poienii Rock in the Bicaz Gorges, we can look down 300 meters to the mouth of the Bicajel stream. The Bridge of the Hungarians is hidden among pine trees.

The second station of the cable car departing from Obertraun is the Krippenstein peak (2100 m). Here you can find the famous Five Fingers (5fingers) lookout, which offers a unique view of Hallstatt and Obertraun below, as well as the Hallstättersee lake.

Oltet Gorges (Cheile Oltetului) - Capatana Mountains
That day, we had planned to ski at the Ranca resort, situated alongside the Transalpina high altitude mountain road in the Parang Mountains. Unfortunately, the very small snowfall made skiing unfeasible, so we had to find an alternative activity on our way home.

Snow-covered valley of Balea and the Transfagarasan in winter - The ascent
The Fagarasi Mountains can be easily approached from the north, mainly by using the Transfagarasan Road. This high altitude mountain road is only accessible during the summer months (throughout its entire length), but from the Balea Waterfall station (Statia Balea Cascada) you can also reach the Balea Lake by cable car.

With snowshoes in the Tihu creek valley - Rastolita
We met geotrekking treasure hunters from Gheorgheni, Miercurea Ciuc and Targu Mures in Rastolita. We entered the Calimani Mountains with an off-road vehicle, along the Rastolita and Tihu streams.

Mill of the Devils (Moara Dracilor) - Tasna Gorges (Cheile Tasnei)
The Tasna Gorges are located in the Mehedinti Mountains, approximately 15 km from the resort of Baile Herculane. The gorges are part of the Domogled - Cerna Valley (Valea Cernei) National Park.

Sheepdogs - Govora sheepfold - Retezat mountains
On the second day of my weekend Retezat hike, I visited a sheepfold on the Lancita Ridge. To my great disappointment, they didn't make cheese or curd here.

Silberkar Gorge (Silberkarklamm) - Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria
One of the most beautiful hiking spots in the area of Ramsau am Dachstein, is the Silberkarklamm. It is possible to drive to the entrance of the gorge, there is parking available on the side of the road, and you have to pay an entrance fee.
