Iron path in winter - Harghita Madaras
Iron path in winter - Harghita Madaras 10.65 km away
This is already the sixth time I've climbed the via ferrata route set up on the rocky cliffs of Seii Peak near Harghita Madaras. Although the forecast suggests that the weather should be nice, I am greeted by a sky covered in clouds.

Iron path - Harghita-Madaras 10.65 km away
Amateur filming in Harghita-Madaras, holding the camera by hand in the car, and helmet-mounted on the via ferrata. I climbed an iron path for the first time in my life on the Nyerges cliffs (Stancile Seii), I didn't have the right equipment yet.

Snow-covered valley of Balea and the Transfagarasan in winter The ascent 127.87 km away
The Fagarasi Mountains can be easily approached from the north, mainly by using the Transfagarasan Road. This high altitude mountain road is only accessible during the summer months (throughout its entire length), but from the Balea Waterfall station (Statia Balea Cascada) you can also reach the Balea Lake by cable car.
Womens Spiral, Cave Ridge, and The Great Crack iron paths Baia de Fier 208.88 km away
Perhaps the most interesting via ferrata among the routes in the Baia de Fier area is the Womens Spiral. After completing it, I can say that it is the second most thrilling via ferrata in Romania, following the Big Via Ferrata at Rasnov.
Via Ferrata Fairy Castle (Castelul Zanelor, Casa Zmeului, The House of the Dragon) Vadu Crisului 242.64 km away
South of Vadu Crisului, in the Padurea Craiului Mountains, lies the Vadu Crisului Gorge, a section of the Crisul Repede river that narrows between rocky walls. In the Middle Ages, there was intense log transportation activity here, and the transport of salt and timber to Hungary passed through this area.
Blasted Rock (Piatra Puscata) hanging path Cerna Valley 292.41 km away
The Blasted Rock hanging path is located on the geographical right bank of the Cerna River, near the confluence of the Iuta stream, approximately 20 km from Baile Herculane. In this area, the presence of limestone formations has caused the valley to become narrower.
Big Via ferrata Rasnoavei Gorge 110.81 km away
The most dangerous Eastern European iron path, and also one of the most beautiful via ferrata routes in Romania, is in the Rasnoavei Gorges, Postavaru Mountains. The route is 450 m long, with a level difference of 220 m.
