Tourist attractions near Zagujeni (Constantin Daicoviciu, Caras-Severin county, Romania)

Corcoaia Gorge - Gorj county 56.8 km away. The Corcoaia Gorge is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the Cerna Valley. It can be reached by car, 43 km away from Baile Herculane, of which about 17 km is on a dusty gravel road.

Blasted Rock hanging path - Cerna Valley 59.8 km away. The Blasted Rock (Piatra Puscata) hanging path is located on the geographical right bank of the Cerna River, near the confluence of the Iuta stream, approximately 20 km from Baile Herculane. In this area, the presence of limestone formations has caused the valley to become narrower.

The Wooden Ladders - The villages of Scarisoara and Inelet, Cerna valley 60 km away. Scarisoara and Inelet are small, isolated villages located in the mountainous region of Banat. They are situated on the right bank of the Cerna River, approximately 19 km away from the Baile Herculane resort.

Billy-goat lake, Closed Gates - Retezat Mountains 60.6 km away. The most unique ridge trail of the Retezat Mountains is the Closed Gates.Below, at an altitude of 2070 m above sea level, is the Billy-goat lake.

Mill of the Devils - Tasna Gorge 63.5 km away. Mill of the Devils (Moara Dracilor) - Tasna Gorge (Cheile Tasnei). The Tasna Gorges are located in the Mehedinti Mountains, approximately 15 km from the resort of Baile Herculane.

Hias via ferrata Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein The Hias via ferrata in the Silberkar Gorge (Silberkarklamm) is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.

Loreley and Pink Panther iron path Baia de Fier 128.7 km away. The Loreley via ferrata (graded B/C, with an elevation difference of approximately 100 m and a length of about 100 m) is located on the rock wall on the opposite side of the road. A branch from its upper section leads to the Pink Panther (Pantera Roz, graded A/B/C, approximately 200 meters long, with an elevation difference of about 50 meters).

Giant Ice Cave Dachstein Salzkammergut, Obertraun am Hallstättersee The second cave accessible to the public at the Schönbergalm above Obertraun on Lake Hallstatt is the Giant Ice Cave (Rieseneishöhle). For me, it was more spectacular than the Mammoth Cave.

Devils Bridge Ardino 490.7 km away. The Devil's Bridge (Dyavolski Most, in Turkish Sheytan Kyupriya) is located in the gorge of the Arda River, just north of the town of Ardino in Bulgaria. It was constructed in the early 16th century, between 1515 and 1518, by an architect named Dimitar, on the remains of an earlier Roman bridge.

Via ferrata Adventure Climb Varmost Forni di Sopra, Cima Clap Varmost, Alpi Carniche I participated in a joint, Szekler-Italian 'military exercise' :-) on the Adventure Climb Varmost via ferrata. The iron climbing route is located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, in the Carnic Alps, and it leads up to the summit of Clap Varmost above Forni di Sopra.

Prohodna cave Karlukovo 298.2 km away. The Prohodna cave nicknamed The Eyes of God is located in Bulgaria, in the Iskar Gorge, on one of the largest karst areas in Bulgaria, 2 km from the town of Karlukovo. It is essentially a 262-meter-long natural stone bridge, with a large (45 m high) and a small (35 m high) entrance.
