Natural bridge next to the Banita Stone Quarry (13th September 2015 - 12 photos) 60 km away
Although the Banita Stone Bridge is not far from the road that passes through the village, it is located beyond the railway line, so its approach is a bit cumbersome. We can go around the railway line on Carierei Street, and then we have to walk a few meters from the stone quarry.

Sheepdogs - Govora sheepfold - Retezat mountains 50.55 km away
On the second day of my weekend Retezat hike, I visited a sheepfold on the Lancita Ridge. To my great disappointment, they didn't make cheese or curd here. The owners sell the more special types of sheep and rams in the autumn.
Billy-goat lake, Closed Gates - Retezat Mountains 50.88 km away
The most unique ridge trail of the Retezat Mountains is the Closed Gates.
Crivadia Gorges 55.75 km away
The Crivadia Gorge is located next to the village of Crivadia, which belongs to Banita. Access is difficult, and the hike is made through the streambed, with water up to the waist at its narrowest point.
Banita Gorges and Banita rock bridge 62.63 km away
They say about this place that only very few people know about it, but that's not true. In fact, most nature lovers have heard of it, seen pictures taken here, even if not everyone has been able to come here. Since it has been talked about everywhere, and it has been advertised, I have also been planning to come here for years.
Bolii Cave - Banita 62.87 km away
The Bolii Cave is located 6 km north of Petrosani, on the road that connects Hateg with the Jiu Valley. Here, the railway line that connects the two parts of Hunedoara County passes through, featuring a total of 66 curves and 8 tunnels.

Black Rocks iron path Bihor Mountains 79.8 km away
Black Rocks is located in the Bihor Mountains, near the Vartop Saddle, to the west of it. It is interesting that the locals (if I understood correctly) do not know this name, but use the name Piatra Buna (meaning Good Stone) for this spectacular rock.

Schulter Anstieg klettersteig Hoher Dachstein, Austria 716.57 km away
Two iron paths lead to the top of the Hoher Dachstein. The Randkluft is shorter, but can only be reached through a glacier with cracks. It is dangerous to reach the starting point, that's probably why it was closed now.
Mürren-Gimmelwald Klettersteig Switzerland 1139.68 km away
The Mürren-Gimmelwald Klettersteig is a relatively new via ferrata route in Switzerland, located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It is moderately difficult, but incredibly scenic. Unusually, you don't climb upwards here, but rather descend.
Via ferrata Rio Sallagoni Italia 908.47 km away
While the surrounding iron climbing routes are located on rock walls exposed to a scorching sun, the Rio Sallagoni via ferrata goes upwards in a pleasantly cool gorge, above the creek and waterfalls, and eventually reaches the Drena Castle.
Siega Klettersteig Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 708.52 km away
The Siega Klettersteig, categorized as a C/D level of difficulty, is perhaps the least interesting of the three via ferratas in the Silberkarklamm gorge. This doesn't mean that it's not good, just that the other two are even better. :-)
Sky Walk, Suspension Bridge, Stairway to Nothingness Dachstein 715.36 km away
The Dachstein cable car took me up to a height of 2700 meters, to the highest mountain in Styria, the Dachstein. A fabulous natural environment unfolded before me, with panoramic views of the Austrian peaks. It is said that Slovenia and the Czech Republic can also be seen from here.
Rieseneishöhle Dachstein Salzkammergut, Austria 709.97 km away
The second cave open to the public, of Schönbergalm above Obertraun am Hallstättersee, is the Ice Cave (Rieseneishöhle). For me, it was more spectacular than the Mammoth Cave.
L'Escale á Peille iron path Alpes-Maritimes, France 1223.46 km away
One of the challenging via ferratas in the Maritime Alps is the L'Escale a Peille. One of its elements is a steel cobweb, where you can feel like you're hanging in the air.
Vadu Crisului cave 129.82 km away
The Vadu Crisului Cave, with a total length of over 1000 meters, is located in the picturesque gorge of Crisul Repede creek. It consists of a gently meandering, long passage that features an active, stream level next to an upper, fossil level in its first section.
Aareschlucht Meiringen-Innertkirchen, Switzerland 1114.98 km away
The Aareschlucht is a 1400-meter long, 200-meter deep gorge of the Aare river, near Innertkirchen, Switzerland. It has two entrances, one from Meiringen in the west, and one from Innertkirchen in the east, which lead into the narrow, but stunning gorge.
Walking to the top of Sumuleul Mare Sumuleu Ciuc 251.94 km away
This was my first attempt at shooting a video.
Trift valley, bridge, lake and glacier Gadmen, Switzerland 1104.22 km away
During the hike in Trift Valley, I experienced cloudy and gloomy weather with intermittent rain. Here is the 170 m long Trift Bridge, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the Swiss Alps, in a breathtaking environment, 100 meters above the Trift Glacier Lake.
