Tourist attractions near Pestera (Salasu de Sus, Hunedoara county, Romania)

Sheepdogs - Govora sheepfold - Retezat mountains 8.4 km away. On the second day of my weekend Retezat hike, I visited a sheepfold on the Lancita Ridge. To my great disappointment, they didn't make cheese or curd here.

The palm of God and the Heavens door - Fundatura Ponorului mountain village 18.2 km away. One of the most picturesque places in Romania, one of the most beautiful mountain villages, and a photographer's paradise. Fundatura Ponorului is located in the Ponor Stream Valley, part of the Gradistea Muncelului - Cioclovina National Park, in the Sureanu Mountains.

Via ferrata Adventure Climb Varmost Forni di Sopra, Cima Clap Varmost, Alpi Carniche I participated in a joint, Szekler-Italian 'military exercise' :-) on the Adventure Climb Varmost via ferrata. The iron climbing route is located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, in the Carnic Alps, and it leads up to the summit of Clap Varmost above Forni di Sopra.
